Tangerine Tango was the 2012 Pantone Color of the Year, but it is still a hot color in 2013. Orange is a vibrant and energizing color that is perfect for summer.

Now, I have never been one to shy away from orange, perhaps because I am always on the look out for cute orange accessories to accompany me to Detroit Tigers baseball games! However, I know that orange is a striking color, and many people feel skeptical about wearing it. Don't be afraid! Orange is actually a very versatile color for spring and summer. Depending on the hue, it is also wearable right into fall. If you're hestitant, try pairing orange with neutral colors such as tan/nude, cognac or grey. Start with an orange accent or accessory, like jewelry or a clutch. Orange also pairs well with navy and white. I love a pair of white pants or shorts with a navy and orange striped top. And since I love all things bright and colorful, one of my favorite color combos for summer is orange and turquoise. Pair an orange top or dress with turquoise accents, or vice-versa, for a fun, tropical look. Orange is such a fun color to play with, but if you're wearing an orange clothing item, such as a dress, then avoid anything else orange. Accent it with neutrals or another bright color. You don't want to walk out of the house looking like a bottle of Fanta!
Are you a fan of the color orange? How do you style it?
