In just about six weeks, I will be attending my first blogger conference in Austin, Texas! Bethany of Perfectly Coutured and I were planning a girls shopping weekend when I stumbled upon the Texas Style Council conference. Being new bloggers, we both jumped at the chance to attend and network with other bloggers!
I love how this conference is set up like school, offering specific courses divided by topic and level of expertise, and allowing you to create your own learning experience. Although the conference schedule is still tentative, I am really looking forward to the Self Photography 101 and Work+Life+Blog Balance sessions. Because, let's be honest, I need to work on those outfit posts, and who doesn't need some tips on balancing blogging with your work and personal life?
I am so excited to finally meet one of my bestie blog buds and experience this with her! Hopefully this will be the first of many blogger conferences we get to meet up at. Besides the conference, we are also planning to do some major outlet shopping. When the San Marcos and Round Rock outlets are both that close by, how can we not?! Top of my list = Kate Spade and Tory Burch. Even though I am very lucky to have a few outlet malls close by, none of them are home to a Kate Spade or Tory Burch. I hope we are able to score some great deals while we are there!
Overall, I hope that we are able to build new relationships with fellow bloggers and learn new ways to connect with each other and our readers. If you had asked me back in February when I started this blog if I thought I would be attending a blogger conference in Austin, I would have told you that you are crazy! Now, I am already trying to find where I'll go next, and I haven't even attended this one yet! I cannot wait to share this experience with you! Tons of pictures and a full recap will come in August!
If you are attending the Texas Style Council conference, let me know! I would love to meet up! Tickets are still available, if you are interested!
Have you attended a blogger conference before? Do you have any advice for newbies? I would love to hear about your experiences!
