Yesterday marked the first official day of fall, although I am pretty sure most of us have already transitioned into the season. It was the perfect fall day here in Michigan. As you know, I am loving the mustard hue for fall, so I was very excited to break out my favorite Gap boyfriend cords from last year. If there is one perfect pair of pants for fall, these might be it. The boyfriend fit makes them incredibly comfortable, yet stylish at the same time. I was so thrilled to discover that Gap brought them back this fall!
I decided to pair the cords with chambray (further adding to the comfort level), tortoise accessories and leopard loafers. It just seemed like the perfect outfit for the first day of fall. Tortoise and leopard will definitely be staples in my wardrobe this season. Tortoise is classic and versatile, and leopard has really become a neutral these days (even Jenna Lyons said so herself). One of my best purchases for fall has turned out to be the J.Crew inspired tortoise flower necklace that I snagged on Very Jane for a mere $15. It took so long to arrive that I almost canceled it, but I am so glad I didn't. I am finding it incredibly difficult to not wear it everyday! Keep your eyes open for one on Very Jane, GroopDealz or Sassy Steals - it's the perfect fall accessory!
