Everyday Fashion and Finance: Friday Finds Under $40

Happy Friday! Now that it is November, my mind is quickly going towards the holidays. Why do we always want to skip ahead? I need to slow down and enjoy what is left of fall. I love fall. Even though it is not quite time to be donning our festive holiday attire, I cannot help but want to shop for it. Today's Friday Finds are all pieces that you can wear now, but will also be perfect for the upcoming holiday parties and get-togethers. AND they are all under $40! Affordability and versatility are words every budget fashionista should love...

The glitter bow belt from Target is absolute perfection. Imagine all the fun ways you can style it during the holidays and this winter! I have been loving deep reds already this fall, but I tend to especially gravitate towards them during the holidays. The dark red velvet blazer is at the top of my list. It is perfect for work, casual date nights and holiday parties. Did you know TJ Maxx has online shopping now? Well, they do, and they also have a great bow cross body bag that looks identical to Kate Spade for only $15! I did a double-take! Old Navy has done it again with these sequined polka dot cardigans. The cream and black is my favorite. Wear it now with denim or black ponte pants. Wear it during the holidays with red, emerald or a simple plaid scarf. Speaking of plaid..need I say more? Plaid scarves and plaid earmuffs are classic winter wear. Zara steps it up a notch and gives us the fabulous two-sided scarf. And last but not least, the J.Crew Factory bow tights and embellished tights are such a fun alternative to your regular black tights. Pair them now and during the winter with a cozy sweater dress or your LBD. Not to sound like a broken record, but...also perfect for the holidays.
