Plaid has always been a classic and preppy pattern, but it has especially been trending this fall, and it seems like the fashion world has gone "mad for plaid." Incorporating plaid in your wardrobe is not just limited to a basic plaid shirt or scarf, but pants, blazers, coats and bags are also popular this season. A few years ago, I would have never worn a pair of patterned pants, even if they were a classic plaid print. And I definitely would not have worn them to work! Thank goodness I have gotten a lot more "daring" and fun with my fashion choices, because I found the perfect pair of plaid pants from Loft. I purchased these pants at 50% off recently, and they are perfectly tailored and look much more expensive than they really are. I liked how this plaid print was not overwhelming or "loud", so it could be appropriate for work, a night out or casual weekend wear. Check out some ways to style plaid pants in your everyday life below.
Since the pants are "bold", keep the rest simple with solid, neutral basics for the office. An embellished sweater underneath a blazer is a great way to take your outfit from day to night.
For a night out, try a peplum top and add a statement necklace, or even mix prints, to add a trendy twist to a classic look.
These popular Steven by Steve Madden bow pumps have recently been spotted at TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores for only $50! Such a steal of a deal compared to the retail price, so be sure to check your local stores!
Pair plaid pants with a casual tee and flats or loafers to dress them down for the weekend.
Are plaid pants your style? How would you style them?
